The 1894 comic opera Donna Diana of Emil von Reznicek (1860-1945) was a popular success in its day but is now remembered chiefly for its sparkling overture. Much recorded, it has attracted the attention of many conductors including Erich Kleiber, Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta and Neville Marriner.
I hope my piano four hands arrangement will bring this delightful piece to the attention of more players and listeners.
